Job Description

The Visual Design Associate Manager role at Accenture Song guides visual design direction across engagements, contributes to design systems and brand language, mentors junior designers, and leverages AI-enabled workflows to accelerate workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and contribute to the visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, aesthetic cohesion, and timely milestones.
  • Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visual executions while developing an original visual point of view.
  • Deliver high quality work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with strong craft and attention to detail.
  • Own your workstream with a hands-on, self-directed approach, making deliberate design decisions and delivering production-ready output with minimal redirection.
  • Actively use AI tools in concepting, iteration, and production, and contribute to the team's evolving AI-enabled workflows.
  • Engage confidently with clients and stakeholders, clearly communicating design rationale and building a growing presence as a trusted creative voice.
  • Document and share how AI tools impact workflow, contributing to the practice's evolving understanding of AI-enabled visual design.
  • Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that demonstrate visual design capabilities.
  • Stay attuned to internal and client needs, flagging opportunities for deeper work or expanded scope to leads.
  • Mentor junior team members informally, sharing feedback, references, and methods to help grow visual craft.
  • Actively participate in the Visual Design Craft community, contributing to shared resources, discussions, and ongoing discipline development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Visual Design experience across diverse industries, brands, platforms, and contexts.
  • Proven involvement in end-to-end visual design engagements from concept and strategy to production-ready delivery.
  • Experience producing brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a developing strong visual voice.
  • Delivering high-fidelity work with pixel-perfect attention to detail and developer-ready specifications.
  • Ability to provide feedback to junior designers and help others grow their craft and confidence.
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Foundational UX understanding that informs visual decisions and communicates a coherent brand perspective.
  • Contribution to scalable design systems that maintain visual consistency across products and channels.
  • Comfort with AI tools in the design practice, from concepting to rapid iteration, and openness to evolving AI-enabled workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present design rationale and participate in creative discussions.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Interest or growing fluency in adjacent areas such as brand strategy, service design, content design, or self-directed skill expansion.
  • Experience contributing to practice-level initiatives such as processes, craft assets, onboarding, or community forums.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in visual design, visual communications, graphic design, fine art, or related creative field.
  • Experience in management consulting, a creative agency, or a professional services setting.
  • Emerging external presence through publishing creative POVs, attending design events, or sharing work publicly.
