Job Description

Based onsite in Carmel, Indiana, the Visual Design Associate Manager role at Accenture Song guides visual direction across engagements, delivering brand identities and design systems, mentoring teammates, and integrating AI into workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Shape visual design direction from concept to delivery across internal and client engagements, ensuring quality, aesthetic cohesion, and timely progress.
  • Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visuals, and develop an original visual point of view.
  • Produce high quality work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with strong craft and attention to detail.
  • Take ownership of your workstream, make deliberate design decisions, and deliver production‑ready output with minimal redirection.
  • Actively incorporate AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, contributing to evolving AI‑enabled workflows.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, clearly communicating design rationale and growing as a trusted creative voice.
  • Document and share how AI tools impact workflow, contributing to the practice’s understanding of AI‑driven visual design.
  • Contribute to proposals and case studies by providing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that showcase capabilities.
  • Remain attuned to internal and client needs, flagging opportunities for deeper work or expanded scope to leadership.
  • Mentor junior teammates informally, sharing feedback, references, and practical approaches to grow visual craft.
  • Actively participate in the Visual Design Craft community, contributing resources and engaging in ongoing discipline development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Visual Design spanning multiple industries, brand types, platforms, and visual contexts.
  • Experience contributing to visual design engagements end-to-end, from concepting and visual strategy through production‑ready delivery.
  • Proficiency in delivering brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a strong and evolving visual voice.
  • Ability to produce high‑fidelity visuals with pixel‑perfect deliverables and developer‑ready specifications.
  • Experience providing informal guidance to junior designers, helping others develop craft and creative confidence.
  • Experience working in agile, cross‑functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Foundational UX principles informing visual decisions, balancing intuitive user flows with a coherent brand perspective.
  • Experience contributing to scalable design systems that ensure visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
  • Comfort with using AI tools in visual design for concept generation, mood‑boarding, and rapid iteration, with openness to evolving workflows.
  • Recent hands‑on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
  • Strong communication skills and client presence; ability to present design rationale and engage in creative discussions with stakeholders.

Who You Are

A Visual Design Associate Manager who brings strong conceptual thinking and high craft standards to every project. You contribute meaningfully to the program's discipline tracks, phases, and visual design direction on engagements. You execute and shape the aesthetic language, design system, and visual output across touchpoints and program outputs such as research, strategy, and UX, under a lead's guidance. You are developing your ability to drive day‑to‑day creative work.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Interest or growing fluency in adjacent areas such as brand strategy, service design, or content design
  • Experience contributing to practice‑level initiatives such as ways of working, craft assets, onboarding, or community forums
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in visual design, visual communications, graphic design, fine art, or a related field
  • Experience in management consulting, a creative agency, or a professional services environment
  • External presence through publishing creative POVs, participating in design community events, or sharing work publicly
