Job Description

Accenture Song in Seattle invites a Visual Design Associate Manager to steer the visual design direction across engagements, shaping design systems and craft while mentoring teammates. This onsite role blends hands-on design leadership with AI-enabled workflows, offering a salary range of USD 68,300 to 218,800 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and shape the visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, cohesive aesthetics, and timely milestones.
  • Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visual executions, developing and defending an original visual point of view.
  • Deliver high-quality work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with meticulous craft.
  • Be hands-on and self-directed, owning your workstream, making deliberate design decisions, and delivering production-ready output with minimal redirection.
  • Leverage AI tools in your workflow to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, contributing to evolving AI-enabled practices.
  • Engage in client and stakeholder conversations, clearly articulating design rationale and building a trusted creative voice.
  • Document and share how AI tools alter your workflow, contributing to the practice's evolving understanding of AI-enabled visual design.
  • Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process notes, and design narratives that showcase visual design capabilities.
  • Stay attuned to internal and client needs, identifying opportunities for deeper work or expanded scope and flagging them to the lead.
  • Mentor junior team members informally, sharing feedback and references to help grow their visual craft.
  • Be an active, engaged member of the Visual Design Craft community, contributing resources and participating in ongoing discipline development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Visual Design spanning a range of industries, brand types, platforms, and visual contexts.
  • Experience contributing to visual design engagements end-to-end, from concept and visual strategy through to production-ready delivery.
  • Proven ability to produce brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a strong and developing visual voice.
  • Deliver high-fidelity visual work with meticulous attention to detail, including pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specifications.
  • Experience providing feedback and informal guidance to junior designers, helping others grow their craft and creative confidence.
  • Experience working in agile and cross-functional environments, collaborating with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Strong grounding in UX principles that informs visual design decisions, balancing intuitive user guidance with a coherent brand point of view.
  • Experience contributing to scalable design systems that ensure visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
  • Comfort using AI tools in visual design practice, from concept generation and mood-boarding to rapid iteration, with openness to evolving AI-enabled workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
  • Strong communication skills with client presence; ability to present design rationale and contribute to creative discussions with stakeholders.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Interest or fluency in adjacent areas such as brand strategy, service design, or content design, or a self-directed expansion of skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in visual design, visual communications, graphic design, fine art, or related field
