Job Description

The Visual Design Associate Manager role, based onsite in Austin, TX, supports Accenture Song by shaping visual design direction, building design systems, and delivering across brand touchpoints. This position mentors junior designers, integrates AI into workflows, and contributes to proposals and case studies, with a salary range of USD 68,300 to 218,800 per year. The role requires a minimum of two years of visual design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and shape the visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, aesthetic cohesion, and on‑time completion.
  • Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visual executions, developing and defending an original visual point of view.
  • Produce high quality visual design work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with strong craft and attention to detail.
  • Own your workstream with hands‑on, self‑directed leadership, delivering production‑ready output with minimal redirection.
  • Actively use AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, and contribute to AI‑enabled ways of working within the team.
  • Engage in client and stakeholder conversations, clearly communicating design rationale and developing a trusted creative voice.
  • Document and share how AI tools influence workflows, contributing to the practice’s evolving approach to AI‑driven visual design.
  • Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that showcase visual design capabilities.
  • Remain attuned to internal and client needs, flagging opportunities for deeper work or expanded scope to the lead.
  • Provide informal mentorship to junior team members, offering feedback, references, and effective working methods to grow their craft.
  • Actively participate in the Visual Design Craft community, contributing to shared resources, discussions, and ongoing discipline development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Visual Design spanning multiple industries, brand types, platforms, and visual contexts.
  • Experience contributing to visual design engagements end‑to‑end, from creative concepting and visual strategy through to production‑ready delivery.
  • Proven ability to produce brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI that convey a strong and evolving visual voice.
  • Delivering high‑fidelity visual work with meticulous attention to detail, including pixel‑perfect deliverables and developer‑ready specifications.
  • Experience giving feedback and informal guidance to junior designers, helping others develop their craft and creative confidence.
  • Experience collaborating in agile and cross‑functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Solid grounding in user experience principles that informs visual design decisions and communicates a coherent brand point of view.
  • Experience contributing to scalable design systems that ensure visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
  • Comfort using AI tools in visual design practice, from concept generation and mood‑boarding to rapid iteration, with openness to evolving AI‑enabled workflows.
  • Recent hands‑on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop client presence; capable of presenting design rationale and contributing to creative discussions with stakeholders.
