Visual Design Manager
Job Description
Accenture is hiring a Visual Design Manager to lead visual design direction and narrative for client engagements. This onsite role in Miami, FL blends high-craft creative leadership with hands-on execution, including team coaching and the integration of AI into visual design workflows.
In this position, you will set the standard for visual quality, translate briefs and insights into cohesive visual languages, and guide teams through complex, high-pressure decisions. You will also contribute to proposals, create case studies, and help evolve how the practice works as AI changes visual design delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, maintaining accountability for design quality, aesthetic cohesion, and project timelines for internal or client work.
- Translate abstract briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages.
- Set and defend a high visual craft standard directing the creation of brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences.
- Act as both visionary and hands-on partner: define creative direction, stay close to the work, shape key design decisions, and produce high-quality output alongside your team.
- Use AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, and model how these tools enhance creative thinking rather than replace it.
- Serve as a leading creative voice in client discussions by sharing your visual perspective and translating design rationale into strategic narratives.
- Document how AI is changing visual design workflows and quantify its impact on delivery quality and team performance.
- Contribute to proposals, build case studies from your work, and translate project learnings into thought leadership that highlights visual design capabilities.
- Identify and shape new creative opportunities with existing clients, partnering with account leads to build a compelling point of view.
- Manage, support, and mentor team members in day-to-day work, strengthening visual craft, creative confidence, and independence.
- Remain an engaged member of the Visual Design craft by sharing methods, creative references, and project outcomes that help evolve the discipline.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Visual Design across a range of industries, brand types, platforms, and visual contexts.
- 4+ years leading visual design engagements end-to-end, from creative concepting and visual strategy through production-ready delivery.
- 4+ years directing the creation of brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a strong, consistent visual voice.
- 4+ years producing and directing high-fidelity visual work with exceptional attention to detail, including pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specifications.
- 3+ years directly managing or coaching visual designers, with a demonstrated ability to develop contributors into more independent creators.
- 3+ years working in agile and cross-functional environments with collaboration across product design, product management, engineering, and strategy.
- 3+ years delivering high-caliber visual design work that shipped at scale and supported complex product or brand challenges with measurable impact.
- Experience grounding visual design decisions with a deep understanding of UX.
- Experience building and contributing to scalable design systems that maintain visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
- Experience embedding AI tools and workflows into visual design practices, including concept generation, mood-boarding, rapid iteration, and team-level modeling of AI-enabled ways of working.
- Recent hands-on experience using design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design, and relevant motion, illustration tools, or AI design tools. This is not a purely managerial role.
- Strong facilitation and creative presence, with the ability to present visual strategy and design rationale to senior client stakeholders and guide creative decisions under pressure.
