UI/UX Developer

Weber State University is seeking a UI/UX Developer to help design, develop, and maintain the weber.edu website, with a focus on internal pages and site sections. In this role, you will also support university communications and marketing campaigns by creating media-rich, interactive user experiences.

What you’ll do

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years) in a related field
• 3 years of UI/UX design and development experience

Skills and tools

You will work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Google Analytics.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with web design, usability, accessibility, and user testing
• Experience programming/coding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards
• Some experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent graphics programs
• Proficient technical learner
• Experience maintaining websites in a content management system
• Experience with Google Analytics and user experience principles to inform design, development, and maintenance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work productively both alone and in a team environment

Compensation and schedule

This onsite position is located in Ogden, UT, with an annual salary that starts at $60,000 and may increase based on candidate qualifications.

Remote work may be available for employees who consistently meet performance expectations after completion and approval of an Alternative Work Arrangement Agreement.
