UI/UX Designer
Job Description
NetApp is building experiences for its Keystone product team, with a focus on NetApp Console and Keystone Storage-as-a-Service subscription workflows. In this hybrid role in San Jose, you’ll shape how customers and internal teams handle quoting, subscription lifecycles, capacity management, and everyday operational tasks, working inside the Blueprint design system. The organization also expects responsible AI usage to help drive practical outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Design quoting, subscription lifecycle, capacity management, and related operational workflows used by customers and internal users.
- Translate complex enterprise requirements into clear, usable product experiences within the Blueprint design system.
- Build increasing ownership of features with support from product and design partners.
What you bring
- 1–3 years of UX/UI design experience in product or enterprise software (internship and project experience may be considered).
- An online portfolio showing UX process and craft, including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and prototypes.
- Working knowledge of interaction patterns for web products, user-centered design, design principles, and techniques.
- Experience using Figma to create low- to high-fidelity prototypes and mockups.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to present design rationale and incorporate feedback.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional partners.
- Capability to learn a complex enterprise domain and translate requirements into usable designs.
- Experience applying a design system (components, patterns, tokens); Blueprint experience is a plus.
- Concrete experience using AI tools to improve outcomes (for example: Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Figma Make, etc.).
- Ability to describe AI impact in practical terms such as time saved, faster iteration, and improved quality.
- Awareness of responsible AI practices, including careful prompting, validating outputs, and protecting privacy and IP.

Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, HCI, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with complex web applications, dashboards, or data-heavy workflows.
- Experience maintaining or contributing to design systems.
- Exposure to subscriptions space, billing, or similar enterprise SaaS workflows.
- Working knowledge of current web-based technologies and frameworks (e.g., CSS, Angular, React) to inform design decisions.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards.
