Senior Designer I, Brand Visual Design
Job Description
Scout Motors is seeking a Senior Designer I, Brand Visual Design to own and refine the company’s visual language, ensuring a cohesive brand presence across both digital and printed media. This onsite role in Charlotte, NC partners with cross-functional teams to translate Scout’s identity into expressive, consistent design experiences.
Responsibilities
- Create and refine the visual design language aligned with Scout's brand identity.
- Capitalize on the full design process from concept through mockups to final implementation.
- Craft visuals that express the Scout brand with coherence across digital and print channels.
- Define and evolve the visual tone, color system, and overall aesthetics, documenting assets, guidelines, and templates.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to understand needs and integrate feedback into designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in graphic design or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in graphic or visual design.
- Strong portfolio illustrating a wide range of aesthetics and design sensibilities (include portfolio link at the top of your resume).
- Ability to create expressive work that extends beyond strict identity systems.
- Passion for design across photography, architecture, fashion, typography, color, and composition.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and some motion/video editing.
- Knowledge of user experience considerations in the context of AI.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Location and Travel Expectations
- The role may be based at Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
- 4-5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Occasional in-person collaboration and travel to participate in company events.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time exempt position eligible for base salary and an annual performance bonus program. Final salary will be determined based on factors including the candidate’s skills and experience; the bonus program is preset and not candidate-dependent.
- Initial Base Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00
- Internal Leveling Code: IC9
