Product Designer

Design human-first experiences on Bumble’s Date Design Team as a Product Designer based in Austin, TX (onsite). You’ll help shape the flagship Date product with user-centred, emotionally intelligent design, working closely with product, engineering, and research to deliver clear, intuitive interactions.

What you’ll do

• Own user-centred experiences end to end, including flows, interactions, and visual design from early concepts through polished delivery.
• Turn product requirements and user insights into strong interaction models, high-fidelity designs, and working prototypes that communicate your thinking.
• Partner with UXR, PMs, and engineers across discovery, synthesis, and iteration, bringing an open, curious mindset to the process.
• Design with intention, focusing on how experiences look, feel, behave, and communicate to the people using Date.
• Contribute to shared UX patterns and design system components, helping raise the bar for consistency and craft.
• Use AI-powered tools thoughtfully to accelerate exploration, prototype ideas, and responsible personalisation.
• Present and defend design decisions clearly, connecting choices to user needs, product goals, and Bumble’s values.
• Welcome feedback with curiosity, iterate with intention, and bring a growth mindset to each stage of the design process.

What you bring

• 3–5 years of experience designing high-quality digital products, with mobile platform experience.
• Strong visual and interaction design skills, with work that reflects care for craft and polish.
• Product thinking that starts with “why” before “how”, linking design decisions to outcomes.
• Comfort working in cross-functional teams, with collaborative, clear communication and generosity of thinking.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, plus openness to new methods and technologies.
• Inclusive design and accessibility practiced as fundamentals, not afterthoughts.
• Strong ownership: follow through, communicate proactively, and work with a proactive, accountable mindset.
• Alignment with Bumble values of Joy, Courage, and Curiosity, using design to foster empathy and connection.

AI fluency

AI is important to Bumble. They’re excited by people who are curious and experimental and who think thoughtfully about how AI can amplify impact and outcomes. Compensation

The compensation range is $155K - $175K per year, and final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, skill set, and other job-related considerations.
