Product Designer

Whatnot is seeking a Product Designer to own end-to-end workflow design across high-impact product surfaces, aligning user needs with business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, end-to-end product experiences across user-facing features and internal tools
• Partner cross-functionally to break down complex problems and workflows into clear, usable product experiences
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and final visual designs to resolve ambiguous product challenges
• Turn research insights and user requirements into effective design solutions
• Support and evolve the design system, while advocating for accessibility and inclusive experiences
• Iterate on existing features using data, research, and feedback, identifying improvement opportunities
• Strengthen team design culture through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and process improvements
• Lead workflow design for user journeys spanning areas such as onboarding, discovery flows, educational content, user review systems, and real-time interactions during live events

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design with a strong portfolio of shipped work
• Strong interaction and systems thinking; ability to untangle complex flows and design for edge cases
• Expertise with design and prototyping tools, including Figma and other options such as Protopie and Framer
• Deep understanding of user experience design practices, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated experience designing zero-to-one products or new platforms in ambiguous environments
• Experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, or supply chain management is a plus

Compensation

• Compensation range: USD 153,000 - 235,000 per year
