Junior Web Designer & Front-End Developer

Fame Foundry offers a telecommuting opportunity for a designer who can also build. If you enjoy shaping user experiences and translating them into production-ready interfaces, this role in Charlotte, NC (remote) pairs design thinking with front-end development, grounded in modern web technologies.

The position supports full-cycle web development with an emphasis on UX, front-end implementation, and prototyping. You will work across web applications, websites, and mobile experiences, bringing strong design, usability, and UI detail to each deliverable.

Responsibilities

• Apply a fundamental understanding of full-cycle web development while supporting UX and front-end development needs.
• Use professional methods for prototyping to validate and refine user experiences.
• Design and implement interfaces using HTML5/DOM, CSS3, and JavaScript with responsive web frameworks.
• Bring focus to iconography in UI through demonstrated experience and consistent execution.
• Collaborate in a team environment to develop and deliver strong ideas, from concept to completion.
• Manage multiple projects at once with attention to detail, working within strict time and budgetary parameters.

Requirements

• Passion for great design, user experience, and site usability.
• 2 to 4+ years of demonstrated professional experience across major UX disciplines: information architecture, user interface design, and content strategy across web applications, websites, and mobile.
• 2 to 4+ years of demonstrated professional experience in front-end development.
• Solid proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Expert knowledge of HTML5/DOM, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience focused on iconography in UI.
• Demonstrated prototyping methodologies.
• A portfolio showing strength in both conceptual and editorial-style writing, plus experience working with clients across a wide range of industries.
• Keen insight into human behavior, including what consumers find believable, interesting, attractive, provocative, and compelling.
• Dedication to collaborative work and ability to advance projects with agility and flexibility.
• Exceptional research, grammar, and proofing skills.

Salary: USD 40,000 - 50,000 per year
