Job Description
Blueprint Technologies offers a benefits-forward Motion Designer role in Bellevue, WA (onsite) with hybrid flexibility in Redmond, WA 3x per week. The position pays $35–$40 per hour and requires a bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of experience. Location and Compensation
Location: Bellevue, WA on site; Hybrid work arrangement in Redmond, WA, three days per week. Compensation: USD 35 to 40 per hour. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $35–$40 USD/hour. Starting pay typically will not be at the top of the posted range and will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. Final salary and job title may vary based on qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop high quality motion graphics, animations, video edits, and visual treatments for customer-facing, marketing, and social content
- Translate product narratives and concepts into engaging motion and video assets
- Produce polished visuals that support storytelling, product education, and audience engagement
- Edit and refine content to improve pacing, clarity, visual appeal, and overall effectiveness
- Transform raw footage, screen captures, demonstrations, animations, and assets into finished video
- Apply motion effects, transitions, typography, color correction, audio synchronization, and other finishing touches to meet quality standards
- Prepare deliverables across formats, channels, aspect ratios, and platforms
- Ensure final assets are accurate, brand-compliant, accessible, and ready for review or publication
- Apply strong visual design principles across composition, typography, timing, pacing, hierarchy, and storytelling
- Maintain consistency with established brand standards and creative direction
- Identify opportunities to improve understanding and engagement through thoughtful motion design decisions
- Balance creative excellence with project timelines, production requirements, and business objectives
- Manage file organization, naming conventions, version control, asset tracking, and delivery processes
- Maintain production timelines, milestones, schedules, and status updates across multiple projects
- Track revisions, approvals, stakeholder feedback, and final deliverables
- Proactively communicate risks, blockers, dependencies, and timeline changes
- Collaborate with design, product, marketing, and business stakeholders to understand goals and requirements
- Communicate project status, timelines, deliverables, and challenges effectively
- Prepare design explorations, revised cuts, and final assets for stakeholder review
- Contribute creative recommendations to improve storytelling, customer understanding, and content performance
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Film/Video Production, Digital Media, Studio Art/Fine Art, or a related field
- 2–4 years of professional experience in motion design, video editing, or digital content production
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience using productivity and collaboration tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and AI-assisted workplace technologies
- Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, video editing, visual storytelling, and high-quality production execution
- Experience creating motion and video content for marketing, social media, customer-facing, digital, or product initiatives
- Solid understanding of motion design principles, typography, visual hierarchy, composition, pacing and timing, and brand consistency
- Experience managing file organization, naming conventions, version control, production schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

- Proven ability to balance creative execution with operational and production management responsibilities
