Job Description

Part-time Graphic Design and Social Media Coordinator role based onsite in San Antonio, TX for San Pedro Playhouse and Classic Theatre, handling daily social channels, design of digital and print materials, and on-site photo/video capture at productions and events.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activity across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and additional platforms
  • Develop and execute a content calendar in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Sales
  • Write captions, schedule posts, and engage with followers and community partners
  • Monitor analytics and report performance on a regular basis
  • Stay current on platform trends and identify opportunities for creative content
  • Design digital and print graphics for productions, events, education programs, and organizational announcements
  • Create assets for social media, email headers, digital ads, signage, and playbill materials
  • Maintain consistency with brand standards across all visual content
  • Work within Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, with proficiency in both required
  • Attend select productions, rehearsals, and events to capture photo and video content
  • Edit and prepare assets for use across social media and marketing channels
  • Build and maintain an organized library of visual assets
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Sales to align content with campaign priorities and production schedules
  • Coordinate with education, development, and front of house teams to promote programming
  • Some evening and weekend availability required for productions and events

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in graphic design, social media management, or related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Strong photography skills; basic video editing experience preferred
  • Excellent written communication and an ear for brand voice
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Passion for the performing arts and the ability to authentically represent the organization
  • Portfolio of design and/or social media work required
  • Preferred but not required: experience with website design, development, or content management, including familiarity with WordPress, Squarespace, or similar CMS tools
