Graphic Design Manager

Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation is seeking a Graphic Design Manager for an onsite role in Menomonee Falls, WI. This position leads a design team and delivers creative initiatives that strengthen brand voice and improve customer experiences, with a clear focus on brand integrity, innovation, and brand-consistent digital design outcomes.

What you’ll be building and improving

You’ll oversee creative direction while aligning design decisions to business objectives and launch goals. The role also emphasizes continuous process improvement, including evolving technology and scaling designer capabilities with an impact-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead creative design initiatives while upholding brand standards.
• Develop user-focused strategies tied to business objectives and launch goals.
• Continuously assess and evolve processes to drive disruptive innovation and optimize efficiency.
• Assess and evolve implementation of technology and designer capabilities, prioritizing impact over activity with a scaling mindset.
• Identify issues early, develop solutions proactively, and summarize details and trade-off decisions for leadership.
• Champion execution, process optimization and evolution, and continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation by implementing best practices and leveraging expertise to train others.
• Seek additional ways to add value and increase influence beyond assigned workload.
• Lead projects with clear priorities, ensuring progress and proactively resolving issues.
• Adapt to changing priorities while managing workload for self and team to meet deadlines.
• Influence cross-functional teams by communicating vision and aligning efforts for strong solutions.
• Present insights and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.
• Communicate complex ideas tailored to different audiences.
• Manage and develop direct reports to deliver user-focused, solution-driven strategies and tactics.
• Provide constructive feedback, set clear expectations, and train the team on communication, problem-solving, and high-impact design execution.
• Facilitate and foster collaboration across departments and teams to ensure efficiency and impact.
• Promote inclusivity and knowledge-sharing across departments.
• Align and lead design strategy with business strategies.
• Evaluate and evolve technology (AI, automation, scale) and personnel capabilities, managing priorities and evolving processes.
• Present insights to senior leadership and ensure seamless execution of business objectives.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of professional graphic design experience with leadership and management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creativity and expertise in design principles, typography, and color theory (portfolio required).
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, digital asset management, and project management software is a plus.
• Expert understanding of emerging AI and automation tools/technologies with a proven track record managing end-to-end digital design workflows.
• Ability to analyze market, consumer, and customer insights.
• Strong ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Results-driven, detail-oriented, open to feedback, and continuously seeking improvement.
• Ability to translate business goals into action plans and contingencies.
• Portfolio required.
