The Digital Designer role at MELALEUCA INC is focused on creating and executing high-level web design concepts for an eCommerce environment in Health and Wellness. This onsite position in Idaho Falls, ID pairs strong visual design with story-driven concepting and close collaboration with a small Web Design team.

Responsibilities

Develop ideas and concepts, then help bring them to life for enterprise-level web and mobile platforms.
Create high-level concepts that communicate engaging stories and support the web team’s direction.
Support the transition from concept to final development.
Maintain exceptional visual impact across Melaleuca’s digital presence.
Work with sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and other information design documents.
Stay current on web trends, emerging design issues, and best practices.
Identify opportunities to innovate and improve processes.
Contribute to the mission of “Enhancing Lives.”

Requirements

A portfolio showing clean, modern design skills with clear visual hierarchy, readability, effective use of color, fonts, and space.
A portfolio demonstrating the ability to bring a concept to life.
A portfolio demonstrating problem-solving for design challenges such as limited space.
A portfolio demonstrating consistent, high-quality output across diverse projects.
At least two years of hands-on design experience in the interactive space (technical or development skills are desirable, but the role centers on dedicated design).
Experience designing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), plus the ability to sketch layouts and concepts quickly by hand.
Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML or CSS is a plus.
Strong conceptual skills, including the ability to think in sequences, tell a story, and execute the web team’s vision using the appropriate tools.
Ability to work with sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and other information design documents.
A collaborative approach that supports active idea sharing.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to deliver consistent quality under deadline pressure with close attention to detail.

Team and Reporting

This position reports to the Design Manager. You will join a team that includes the Vice President of Web Marketing, several Web Visual Designers at various experience levels, Content Managers, Web Product Managers, a UI / UX Engineer, an Analyst, and a few interns. The team works closely with Web Developers.
