Creative Director - Consumer Print Global Marketing
Job Description
The Creative Director will lead the creative vision for HP’s Consumer and SMB Print business, shaping a consistent and compelling brand voice across markets, channels, and customer touchpoints. This onsite role in Vancouver, WA focuses on turning consumer understanding and business priorities into breakthrough creative platforms and measurable brand and commercial impact.
Creative leadership and strategy
- Define and own the overall creative vision and strategy for consumer and SMB print.
- Translate consumer insight, cultural trends, and business priorities into distinctive creative platforms.
- Develop ideas that influence how consumers think about print and how they create, do, and enjoy it.
- Establish differentiated creative expression across markets and consumer touchpoints.
- Ensure creative direction is grounded in deep consumer understanding, not product features alone.
- Set the creative bar and provide clear direction to internal teams and external agencies.
- Challenge briefs and agency thinking to strengthen work quality and distinctiveness.
Integrated creative ownership
- Own integrated creative across ad spots, digital, social, content, retail, and e-commerce.
- Maintain brand consistency while allowing appropriate creative flexibility by audience, channel, and market.
- Develop approaches that translate to retail media, retailer content, product pages, promotions, and in-store experiences.
Performance mindset and experimentation
- Build a test-and-learn culture by implementing campaign effectiveness measurement frameworks, including brand tracking, awareness/consideration, and sales uplift.
- Apply learnings iteratively across both audiences.
- Partner with the Performance Marketing Senior Manager so creative and performance work operate as complementary disciplines.
Innovation and technology
- Continuously identify and adapt best-in-class creative practices from other industries, brands, and cultural spaces to drive innovation and differentiation.
- Explore AI and emerging creative technologies to improve quality, speed, and scale.
Team building and partnerships
- Build a high-performance team culture defined by consumer obsession, creative ambition, analytical rigor, and collaborative execution.
- Own succession planning, talent development, and hiring to ensure long-term team capability.
- Develop creative courage alongside business accountability, aligning bold thinking with outcomes and return on investment.
- Build and maintain strong creative partnerships with agencies and other creative partners.
Cross-functional collaboration and communication
- Work closely with Brand, Insights, Strategy and Product Marketing, Performance, Media, and Sales.
- Bring creative thinking into commercial and consumer growth priorities.
- Act as the senior creative voice within the consumer marketing organization.
- Present creative strategy and work confidently to senior leadership.
Required qualifications
- Significant experience as a Creative Director, Executive Creative Director, or equivalent senior creative leader.
- Proven track record creating distinctive consumer brand work.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional creative while managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Experience leading integrated campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels.
- Strong experience managing creative agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience across DTC, e-commerce and/or retail environments.
- Exceptional conceptual and strategic creative thinking.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior and cultural trends.
- Experience working across multiple markets and geographies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Experience in consumer technology, electronics, DTC, e-commerce, or retail.
- Experience working for a globally recognized consumer brand.
- Experience transforming creative organizations or operating models.
- Experience using AI and new technologies to accelerate creative development.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related discipline (required).

Compensation
Salary: USD 166,050 - 249,100 per year
