Creative Director
Job Description
Manhattan Associates is hiring a Creative Director (Atlanta, GA, hybrid) to define how the brand looks, sounds, and feels across global campaigns and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve Manhattan brand expression across internal and external touchpoints.
- Maintain consistent quality across visual design, motion, photography, video, presentations, environments, and customer-facing experiences.
- Act as the final creative quality gate for high-visibility work, ensuring thoughtful, coherent, fully resolved output.
- Convert brand strategy and narrative into execution-ready direction for teams, regions, agencies, and production partners.
- Advance the brand over time while preserving recognizability, discipline, and distinctive point of view.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Content, Communications, Digital, Events, Sales, and regional teams to align brand and commercial priorities.
- Translate technical, product-heavy, or jargon-filled inputs into clear messages, stories, and experiences.
- Lead creative development end-to-end: brief, concept, design, production, launch, and reuse.
- Own creative direction across a broad mix of work including display and paid media, web and landing pages, campaign systems, social, video, animation, photography, presentations, print, and experiential design.
- Set direction for global events, trade shows, roadshows, customer experiences, executive gatherings, and other high-visibility brand moments.
- Shape the complete experience for events: environments, booths, stages, screens, signage, wayfinding, show flow, content capture, and post-event reuse.
- Build scalable creative systems that enable regional relevance while maintaining a coherent global standard.
- Partner with senior leaders on high-stakes presentations, internal broadcasts, company communications, and moments requiring clarity and polish.
- Manage, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team across design, video, operations, and production.
- Clarify roles, expectations, quality standards, career growth, and decision rights.
- Build a high-trust, low-ego creative culture focused on challenging the work.
- Direct a trusted network of agencies, production companies, freelancers, fabricators, and other specialists for overflow and high-production value.
- Increase team capability through strong briefs, useful feedback, repeatable systems, and thoughtful delegation.
- Establish a creative operating system including intake, briefing, prioritization, capacity planning, timelines, review stages, approvals, handoffs, and service expectations.
- Make clear tradeoffs among quality, speed, scope, budget, and business value.
- Manage budgets, estimates, vendor selection, scopes of work, and production risk with sound judgment.
- Create reusable templates, toolkits, presentation systems, and self-service capabilities to improve quality and reduce rework.
- Support the Digital Asset Management ecosystem so finished work is organized, findable, reusable, and governed.
- Use emerging tools, including AI, thoughtfully to accelerate exploration and production while protecting quality, originality, rights, accessibility, and trust.
- Define and track measures of success, including creative quality, throughput, efficiency, adoption, audience response, and contribution to commercial outcomes.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience leading creative work in-house, at an agency, or in a hybrid environment with deep experience in B2B organizations.
- Experience in global and highly technical organizations is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience building and leading high-performing teams that deliver strong results through clear goals, accountability, coaching, and collaboration.
- Portfolio showing range across brand systems, integrated campaigns, digital, video, presentations, events, and physical or experiential environments.
- Strong combination of creative judgment, operational discipline, and people leadership.
- Strong visual and editorial instincts, including recognizing what is almost right and guiding teams to improve.
- Ability to translate complex products, business strategy, and technical subject matter into simple, persuasive, emotionally resonant creative.
- Comfort managing budgets and making practical production decisions without unnecessary compromise.
- Working knowledge of studio production: cameras, lighting, live video workflows, and editing.
- Experience building scalable creative processes across regions, channels, and varying levels of production value.
- Confidence as a constructive sparring partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders; direct about work and generous with people.
- High bar for craft, appetite for experimentation, and humility to keep learning.
