Associate Product Designer

Just Play, LLC is seeking an Associate Product Designer to join its New Brands Team in El Segundo, CA. In this role, you will support the ideation and development of new toy product opportunities across multiple toy categories, translating concepts into practical 2D and 3D models for product and marketing management.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new designs and ideas for New IP Brands within Just Play.
• Carry out idea generation and product design work from concept through development.
• Design and develop New IP Brands.
• Collaborate within a small team environment to advance brand concepts.
• Present and communicate design concepts to the design, marketing, and management teams.
• Coordinate and communicate with external resources such as model makers, sculptors, and soft goods designers.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of toy design or related product design experience.
• Experience across product categories including plush, dolls, and play sets/accessories.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of 3D CAD.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used for toy development.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Knowledge of current trends.
• Understanding of features and play patterns in toys.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Blue-sky ideation with the ability to problem-solve an idea into a viable product direction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Role Details

Salary: USD 60,000 - 75,000 per year
