Product Designer

Unique Industries, Inc. is hiring a Product Designer in its Philadelphia corporate office (onsite) to design and develop new product lines and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and illustrate new product lines.
• Develop and implement new product ideas.
• Develop artwork that is purchased or licensed from outside artists.
• Design generic or private label ensembles with minimal supervision.
• Create and prepare art files for production in 4 to 6 colors, including 4 color process and spot color deliverables turned over to the production team.
• Assist with mock-ups when necessary.
• Stay current with market design trends within the party category and related fields.
• Keep product die-line files up to date, including revised sizes and new additions.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• Adobe Creative Suite skills (excellent).
• Strong internet and email skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Outlook and Excel.
• Effective oral and written communication, including the ability to present ideas and/or facts and recommendations.
• Experience using major private label style guides.
• Knowledge of offset and flexographic printing processes is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year art college or university (required).
• 4 years of related experience and/or training required; 5+ years preferred.
• Previous category experience preferred: party goods, tableware, favors, activities, wearables, toys, stationery, décor, gifts, and/or activity products.
