Associate Creative Director, Design & Events
Job Description
McKesson is seeking an Associate Creative Director, Design & Events to lead the company’s in-house design studio, guiding event experiences and AI-enabled workflows while mentoring a team of designers. This hybrid role in Irving, Texas places you at the center of cross-functional collaboration, shaping high-impact brand moments and transforming how creative work supports business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary creative partner and design lead for flagship events, collaborating with the Senior Creative Director and Segment Creative Directors to shape concept and execution.
- Drive the adoption of AI, technology and automation in partnership with studio leadership.
- Coach and mentor designers and early-career talent, fostering creativity, accountability and growth.
- Develop and implement compelling event design concepts, including environmental graphics, signage, presentations and immersive brand experiences; provide practical inspiration and critique to elevate deliverables and reduce revisions.
- Provide on-site event design support as needed and coordinate studio delegations within planning and creative development.
- Deliver post-event design analysis and learnings to generate data-informed recommendations for future events and design systems.
- Lead select brand projects, ensuring alignment with visual identity and objectives.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications and business partners to deliver high-impact, on-brand creative solutions.
- Set clear priorities and allocate resources to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Monitor industry design trends, emerging technologies and evolving team needs to keep McKesson’s event creative at the cutting edge.
- Partner with the department Senior Creative Director and Creative Director to leverage in-house and freelance talent for peak workloads and specialized needs, with visibility to budgets and forecasts.
- Support annual and quarterly planning meetings with stakeholders to align priorities and forecast design needs, ensuring creative support scales with demand.
- Coordinate with Project Management and Operations teams to align timelines, resources and deliverables for maximum studio impact.
Requirements

- Minimum of 9 years of experience in design leadership or senior creative roles.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

Base Pay
Base pay range: USD 103,200 - 172,000 per year
