Responsibilities
- Concept and art direct integrated campaigns for Claude from brief to final production across digital, video, and print.
- Direct photo and video shoots, collaborating with directors, photographers, illustrators, animators, and production partners to bring campaigns to life.
- Balance executing work in-house with guiding external agency partners; when working with external teams, lead creatively in the room, translate brand context, provide clear feedback, and ensure the final work remains Claude's.
- Develop campaign visual systems with repeatable creative frameworks that offer range while staying recognizably Claude.
- Shape Claude’s brand storytelling by turning product capabilities and user experiences into engaging narratives.
- Partner with brand and product marketing to bring audience insight and brand strategy to life through bold concepts and sharp visual direction.
- Maintain brand consistency and elevate quality across all Claude touchpoints.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience with a portfolio rooted in campaign work, showing concept development, art direction, and execution across multiple channels and formats.
- Experience on both sides of the agency relationship; capable of building campaigns with hands-on work and steering external teams without losing the thread.
- Directed shoots and collaborated closely with photographers, illustrators, or production teams; adept at extracting the best work from collaborators.
- Comfort moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution without losing momentum.
- Experience building consumer-facing or product brand campaigns that feel distinctive and human.
- Driven by brand-building work—shaping perception, building affinity, and raising the market presence of a company.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can manage multiple campaigns and workstreams while preserving quality.

Logistics
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Field of study: A discipline relevant to the role demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
- Minimum years of experience: 12+ years, aligned with internal level requirements
- Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA; minimum 25% in office, with some roles requiring more time onsite
- Visa sponsorship: Anthropic sponsors visas; not guaranteed for every role; if an offer is extended, we will pursue visa support with the help of an immigration attorney
