- Ensure every concept reflects the artist’s identity and connects with their fanbase.
- Lead the visual invention and curation of merchandise lines for artists represented by Warner Music Group.
- Take collections from initial aesthetic moodboards to fully realized visual concepts.
- Source, brief, and direct internal designers, outside studios, and specialized freelancers, including illustrators, typographers, and graphic designers.
- Deliver clear feedback that elevates output and keeps visuals consistent across all assets.
- Collaborate directly with artists, managers, and internal brand teams to translate aesthetic goals into cohesive designs.
- Review and refine all art deliverables to support on-brief execution and visual harmony across product lineups.
- Partner with production teams for asset handover, review tech packs, and refine designs to align with physical production capabilities.
- Stay current on emerging fashion, music, design, and subculture trends, and continuously infuse new visual ideas into artist collections.
What we’re looking for
- 4-6+ years of experience in art direction, graphic design, or brand design, ideally within retail, fashion, or corporate pitch-deck creation.
- A proven track record of trend forecasting and strong understanding of commercial retail landscapes and consumer behavior.
- Expert-level layout and presentation skills, with a portfolio demonstrating the ability to turn complex strategies into compelling visual narratives.
- Comfort acting as a bridge between conceptual creative direction and business-driven commercial targets.
- Passion for emerging fashion, design, and music culture, with the ability to translate those movements into retail-ready product ideas.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and presentation tools such as Keynote or PowerPoint.
- Deep passion for fashion and product design.
- Experience creating mockups for apparel, retail packaging, or point-of-sale displays.
- Interest in emerging creative tools and technologies, including AI, AR, and motion, and how they can enhance storytelling.
