Job Description

Avalanche (Warner Bros. Games) is seeking an Advanced UI/UX Designer to help shape game interfaces for Hogwarts Legacy. This onsite role in Salt Lake City, UT involves partnering with other designers and stakeholders to deliver cohesive user experiences across the player journey, supported by Unreal Engine 5 tools.

Role Overview

You will translate the creative direction from directors into UX that supports the intended design goals. The position emphasizes immersive player experience across the full flow from client launch to exit, including both outside gameplay and in-game interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the creative vision of the directors and build a UX that aligns with those values
  • Design experiences that immerse the player in the game world, from client launch to exit and across gameplay
  • Create wireframes for player interfaces while collaborating closely with design, art, and engineering stakeholders
  • Use Blueprints and UMG to implement a cohesive, consistent, and intuitive user experience

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in a design role
  • One or more shipped titles as a UI/UX designer
  • Strong theoretical foundation in UX and accessibility principles
  • Proficiency with Figma or an equivalent design tool
  • Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, particularly Blueprints, UMG, and View Model
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats
  • Passion for games, a positive attitude, and a sincere desire to collaborate with others

Compensation

The role offers USD 107,093 - 198,887 per year.
