Stockton University’s School of Arts and Humanities is recruiting adjunct instructors for in-person teaching at the Stockton Galloway Main Campus. The Visual Arts Program is seeking faculty to support the core curriculum through contracted semester or term assignments in Graphic Design and Web Design.

This part-time role focuses on scheduled, on-campus instruction for undergraduate courses, with classes meeting in set time slots that may include options during weekdays and evenings depending on the assignment.

Role overview

• Adjunct faculty teaching on-site at the Galloway Main Campus (Main Campus, Galloway).
• Contracted services provided on a semester/term basis.
• Instruction includes:
  • 2000-level Graphic Design 1
  • 3000-level Web Design (Design for WordPress)
• Courses are 2.5 hours and meet twice a week.
• Possible meeting times:
  • Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday, from 8:30 to 11:00
  • Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday, from 11:20 to 1:50
  • Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:30
  • Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday, from 6:00pm to 8:30pm
• Because these courses are part of the core Visual Arts Curriculum, successful candidates may be considered for ongoing and consistently scheduled teaching opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses as scheduled.
• Access student work and provide timely feedback.
• Use Blackboard (the Learning Management System) to support course delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Bachelor (BA) degree in a related area.
• Professional experience in the related subject.

Compensation and work schedule

• Job type: part time
• Salary: USD 2,100 per yearly
• SFT Adjunct Rate: $2,100 per credit
