Job Description

This onsite Software Engineer 3 role in Columbia, MD supports the RECON team within CNO, focusing on full stack development, UI/UX, and Python to deliver deployable solutions and end-to-end prototypes. You will partner with multiple product teams and mission stakeholders to rapidly iterate on requirements, contributing ownership across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Understand the customer mission, collaborate with team members, gather user requirements, and rapidly translate them into solutions
Take ownership of feature development across the entire development lifecycle
Collaborate with a diverse set of teams, systems, and technology stacks
Design and build reliable, intuitive user interfaces and workflows
Develop cutting-edge solutions for data visualizations, task automation, and workflow improvements

Requirements

Technology flexibility with experience across the stack (UI/UX, middleware/API, back-end, and DevOps) and a practical willingness to adopt necessary technologies
Experience with at least one UI framework (React, Vue, or Angular)
Experience writing scripts and services in Python
RESTful web applications experience using both Spring Boot and Python
Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite, etc.)
Familiarity with GitLab (CI/CD)

Prior CNO experience

Compensation

Salary range: $232,000 - $283,000 annually. The range presented is a likely range for this position and may not reflect final compensation. Final pay will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
