This onsite Software Engineer 3 role in Columbia, MD supports the RECON team within CNO, focusing on full stack development, UI/UX, and Python to deliver deployable solutions and end-to-end prototypes. You will partner with multiple product teams and mission stakeholders to rapidly iterate on requirements, contributing ownership across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Understand the customer mission, collaborate with team members, gather user requirements, and rapidly translate them into solutions
- Take ownership of feature development across the entire development lifecycle
- Collaborate with a diverse set of teams, systems, and technology stacks
- Design and build reliable, intuitive user interfaces and workflows
- Develop cutting-edge solutions for data visualizations, task automation, and workflow improvements
Requirements
- Technology flexibility with experience across the stack (UI/UX, middleware/API, back-end, and DevOps) and a practical willingness to adopt necessary technologies
- Experience with at least one UI framework (React, Vue, or Angular)
- Experience writing scripts and services in Python
- RESTful web applications experience using both Spring Boot and Python
- Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite, etc.)
- Familiarity with GitLab (CI/CD)

Position-specific skills

- 12 years of experience with a B.S. in a technical discipline, or four additional years of experience in place of a B.S.
Compensation
Salary range: $232,000 - $283,000 annually. The range presented is a likely range for this position and may not reflect final compensation. Final pay will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
