Salesforce is seeking a Principal UI/UX Designer to steer the design vision for Agentforce for Service, with a focus on AI-powered experiences and scalable design systems. This onsite role in San Francisco requires cross-cloud leadership, executive influence, and the delivery of user-centered outcomes aligned with Salesforce’s evolving objectives.
Responsibilities
- Vision & Strategy: define the design direction for a broad Agentforce for Service domain, tackle the toughest problems, and connect diverse workstreams into a coherent, forward-looking plan that supports Salesforce’s business goals and global customer needs.
- Craft & Excellence: set the bar for craft across the organization, delivering consumer-grade design and high-fidelity execution for enterprise workflows, simplifying complex systems, and leveraging modern patterns and emerging technologies to raise UX standards.
- Design Culture: foster a culture of craft, critique, and continuous improvement, mentoring peers through critique and AI-assisted tools to elevate the team without formal management responsibilities.
- Ecosystem & Systemic Leadership: drive the evolution of design standards and SLDS2, ensuring cohesive, accessible experiences across the Salesforce portfolio.
- Research & Insight: collaborate with Research to translate deep user and market insights into experience frameworks that shape product strategy beyond a single workstream.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: serve as a strategic peer to senior Product and Engineering leaders, influencing roadmaps from ideation through execution in a PDE model.
- Executive Influence: present complex design visions to executives and key customer stakeholders, translating design decisions into clear business impact.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and delivering products in cross-functional teams from ideation to delivery.
- A portfolio of category-defining work and a track record of solving ambiguous, high-stakes design problems at scale.
- Deep understanding of AI and AI tools and their applications in workflows, with a constant drive to stay ahead of industry developments.
- Mastery of user-centered design methods, research, and usability testing, with talent for translating insight into strategic direction.
- Ability to influence others and build consensus across an organization while navigating significant ambiguity, leading through influence rather than authority.
- A passion for mentoring designers and shaping design culture without direct management responsibility.
- Deep experience with design systems and a knack for delivering simple solutions to complex problems.
- Expert knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Figmamake, Claude, and Cursor.
- A related technical degree is required.
