Web Designer/Marketing Specialist
Job Description
Ampa Events is hiring a Web Designer/Marketing Specialist for an in-person office-only role in Henrico, VA. If you enjoy building responsive web experiences and connecting them to effective digital marketing, this position supports both day-to-day website upkeep and campaigns that drive engagement.
This is a full-time role with $50,000 to $60,000 per year, plus 401(k) matching, health insurance, and paid time off. The schedule includes weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist in redesigning and maintaining a responsive, visually compelling event website
- Support UX and UI design standards to ensure a strong user experience
- Develop marketing strategies and conduct market research
- Create content, including graphics and renderings as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to support event goals
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and create mood boards
- Monitor social media channels for trends, insights, and opportunities to engage with the audience
- Coordinate with the sales team to align social media efforts with overall marketing objectives
- Research industry trends and competitor activities to stay current
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries and comments on social media platforms
- Participate in event installs as needed
- Assist with answering phones and other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, web design, or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years proven marketing experience, including digital marketing and social media
- Advanced knowledge of Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
- Rendering and graphics experience
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
- Experience with e-commerce platforms is a plus
- Strong research skills to stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activity
- Excellent attention to detail, including strong proofreading skills
- Ability to help with installations as night and weekends, as needed
- Ability to pick up 50 to 75 lbs without help
