Remote Web Designer/Developer III role focused on secure federal application development and modernization, supporting KOS and a government customer.

Design, develop, test, maintain, and document secure web and database applications using .NET technologies
Create responsive, user-focused front-end solutions grounded in sound UI/UX principles
Execute work across the Agile lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
Collect and translate customer and stakeholder requirements into technical solutions
Develop and securely integrate APIs, databases, and external data feeds
Apply secure development practices aligned to OWASP coding standards
Develop and support cloud-based applications in Azure; leverage Azure and AWS development experience as required
Maintain source code, technical documentation, configuration information, and deployment artifacts in approved repositories
Participate in code reviews, perform vulnerability scanning and remediation, and support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Collaborate with systems, security, database, cloud, and administrative teams
Support GIS/geospatial integrations where applicable, preferably using ESRI/ArcGIS technologies
Contribute to testing, stakeholder feedback cycles, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement

Demonstrated experience in Agile web and database application development
Strong proficiency in .NET/C# and modern front-end development
Experience with UI/UX design and implementation
Experience developing and integrating APIs, including RESTful APIs
Experience architecting or developing applications in Azure and AWS
Knowledge of secure software development practices and web application security standards such as OWASP
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills
Ability to independently design and own technical solutions with limited oversight
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Application Development certification (.NET required)
Secure development certification
Federal government or FISMA-regulated environment experience preferred
GIS/ESRI integration experience preferred
Experience leveraging AI-enabled capabilities within applications or business processes is a plus (heavy AI/ML development not required)

Salary: USD 125,000 - 150,000 per year
