Web Designer

TwoTone Creative invites applications for a Web Designer to steer UX and UI design across our digital assets, ensuring usability, usefulness, and strong visual appeal. This is a full-time, on-site position based in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Create and launch high-performing web pages with precision and care
• Set up websites and provide ongoing technical support
• Continuously refine design and UX/UI skills to stay current with industry trends
• Communicate clearly and proactively with team members and clients
• Generate innovative concepts and deliver strategic, practical solutions
• Develop within WordPress using themes, with little to no coding
• Deliver high-quality UX design outputs through wireframes, visuals, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
• Assess user experience requirements for our suite of digital assets
• Develop and articulate a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand
• Design UI elements such as navigation menus, search fields, tabs, and widgets across digital assets
• Test UI components including CTAs, banners, page layouts, flows, and landing-page links
• Collaborate with copywriting, marketing, graphic design, and client-experience teams to craft tailored digital experiences
• Advise on UX research methodologies and testing activities to analyze and predict user behavior
• Adhere to typography and graphic design style guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in web design, web development, graphic design, or visual communications
• Minimum of 3 years of website design experience
• Proven strengths in web design, project management, marketing, and communications
• Experience using WordPress
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team; strong interest in graphic design
• Comfort working with conservative Christian churches and non-profits
• Online portfolio displaying strong graphics and development capabilities
• Knowledge of current web design trends and techniques
• Ability to clearly communicate visual solutions to support marketing strategies and web initiatives
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

A Typical Work Week

This is a full-time, in-person role based at our West Des Moines office. Remote work is not available.
