Job Description
The Visual Design Associate Manager role at Accenture Song shapes visual design direction, design systems, and output across engagements. It includes mentoring teammates and leveraging AI-enabled workflows to accelerate concepting and production. This on-site position is based in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to shaping the visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, aesthetic cohesion, and timely progress.
- Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visual executions, developing and defending an original visual point of view.
- Produce high-quality visual design work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with strong craft and attention to detail.
- Be hands-on and self-directed, owning your workstream, making purposeful design decisions, and delivering production-ready output with minimal redirection.
- Actively use AI tools in your workflow to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, contributing to the team’s evolving AI-enabled ways of working.
- Engage confidently in client and stakeholder conversations, clearly communicating design rationale and developing a trusted creative voice.
- Document and share how AI tools are changing your workflow, contributing to the practice’s evolving understanding of AI-enabled visual design.
- Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that showcase visual design capabilities.
- Stay attuned to internal and client needs and creative opportunities, flagging potential areas for deeper work or expanded scope to your lead.
- Mentor junior team members informally, sharing feedback, references, and workflows that help them grow their visual craft.
- Be an active member of the Visual Design Craft community, contributing to shared resources, discussions, and ongoing discipline development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of visual design experience across diverse industries, brand types, platforms, and contexts.
- Experience contributing to visual design engagements end-to-end, from concept and visual strategy through to production-ready delivery.
- Creating brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI that express a strong and evolving visual voice.
- Delivering high-fidelity visual work with meticulous attention to detail, including pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specifications.
- Experience mentoring junior designers through informal guidance and feedback to help peers develop craft and confidence.
- Experience in agile, cross-functional environments, collaborating with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
- Strong grounding in UX principles to inform visual design decisions, guiding users intuitively while maintaining a coherent brand perspective.
- Experience building scalable design systems that ensure visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
- Comfort using AI tools in concept generation, mood boarding, and rapid iteration, with openness to evolving AI-enabled workflows.
- Recent hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
- Proven communication skills with clients; ability to present design rationale and contribute to creative discussions with stakeholders.

Compensation
Salary range: USD 68,300 - 218,800 per year.
