Job Description

Accenture Song is seeking a Visual Design Associate Manager for an onsite role in Hartford, CT. The position offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 68,300 to 218,800, with opportunities to lead visual design across client and internal engagements. You will shape visual direction, deliver high quality outputs, and mentor colleagues within a collaborative design practice. This role emphasizes craft, initiative, and growing influence as a trusted creative voice within a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Help define and steer the visual design direction on engagements from concept to delivery, ensuring aesthetic cohesion, quality, and timely execution.
  • Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visuals and develop an original visual point of view as your capabilities grow.
  • Deliver high quality work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with strong craft and attention to detail.
  • Take ownership of your workstream, making deliberate design decisions and providing production ready output with minimal direction.
  • Actively incorporate AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, and contribute to evolving AI enabled workflows within the team.
  • Engage in client and stakeholder conversations, presenting design rationale clearly and developing your presence as a trusted creative voice.
  • Document how AI tools influence workflow and contribute to the practice’s understanding of AI driven visual design.
  • Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that highlight visual design capabilities.
  • Stay attuned to internal and client needs, flagging opportunities for deeper work or expanded scope to the lead.
  • Provide informal mentorship to junior designers, sharing feedback, references, and ways of working to help them grow.
  • Be an active member of the Visual Design Craft community, contributing to shared resources and ongoing discipline development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of visual design experience across multiple industries, brands, platforms, and contexts.
  • End-to-end contributions to visual design engagements, from creative concepting and strategy to production-ready delivery.
  • Proven work in brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI, demonstrating a developing visual voice.
  • Ability to deliver high fidelity visuals with pixel precision and developer-ready specifications.
  • Experience giving feedback and informal mentorship to junior designers, helping others grow their craft and confidence.
  • Collaborative experience in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists.
  • Foundational UX principles informing visual decisions and communicating a coherent brand point of view.
  • Contributions to scalable design systems ensuring visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
  • Comfort with using AI tools in visual design, from concepting to rapid iteration, with openness to evolving workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and related motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
  • Strong communication skills with client presence, including presenting design rationale and contributing to creative discussions.
