Video Editor & Motion Designer
Job Description
At Vuori, Inc, the Video Editor & Motion Designer translates raw footage into branded, on-brand motion content for multiple platforms. Based onsite in Carlsbad, CA, this role collaborates with the Senior Manager of Motion Content, the Creative Director, and cross-functional teams to manage multiple projects while preserving Vuori's brand voice.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Manager of Motion Content, Creative Director, creative team, and other departments to produce cohesive and engaging branded video content.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance video projects.
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Organize and maintain video files, project assets, and media libraries for easy access and retrieval.
- Additional tasks related to video creation from project kick off to delivery.
- Edit raw footage into polished, compelling videos for various platforms including social media, web, new media, broadcast and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure the final product aligns with Vuori's brand vision and goals.
- Implement feedback from supervisors and leadership to refine and enhance video projects.
- Post-production of multiple recurring and one-off motion projects including cut downs and resizing for various screens.
- Create motion graphics, visual effects, and compositing elements to enhance video content.
- Develop and implement animations and graphics that align with the brand’s aesthetic and storytelling objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Video Production, Animation, or related field and/or equivalent years of experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in Premiere, After Effects and similar post-production software.
- Extensive experience in the active, fashion, sport and documentary spaces.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Knowledge of other editing software, color grading, motion graphics, and/or VFX tools is a plus.
- Experience with camera operation and cinematography principles with a strong sense of visual storytelling, composition, and pacing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with color grading, sound design, and audio editing.
- Knowledge of current trends in video production and motion graphics.
- Excellent project management experience, including the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
