Job Description

This onsite role in San Francisco, CA focuses on UX motion design for Fire TV experiences within Amazon's DxD team. The designer will collaborate with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to define motion design patterns and deliver engaging UI animations. The position offers a salary range of USD 135,500 to 184,000 per year and requires a Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion, Interaction, or Graphic Design or an equivalent design-related field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design motion UX behaviors, systems, and animations that orient users, guide interactions, and add delight for customers
  • Develop motion studies for user flows and leadership presentations, with the ability to quickly iterate on multiple design solutions
  • Collaborate with peer interaction, visual, and sound designers in an open and collaborative environment
  • Contribute to the definition and communication of motion design guidelines, development best practices, and standards
  • Adapt core motion primitives to optimize experiences for both existing and emerging customer modalities
  • Partner with product management to align on a shared vision, finalize requirements, and deliver motion design that meets product objectives
  • Work with software engineers to leverage platform scale without compromising core experiential principles and customer intent
  • Present work to multiple partner teams and design leadership for review and feedback
  • Contribute to the broader design community to extend motion experiences across the range of offerings
  • Inspire other designers within the DxD studio

Requirements

  • Available online portfolio
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a motion designer or in a similar design role
  • At least 1 year of professional experience as a UX motion designer
  • Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion, Interaction, or Graphic Design or an equivalent design-related field
  • Experience with design tools such as Adobe After Effects, Figma, and other animation prototyping tools
