UI/UX Frontend Software Developer
Job Description
Titan Technologies is hiring a UI/UX Frontend Software Developer to build and improve responsive web applications across legacy and modernized systems. This hybrid role is based in Washington, DC, with 90% remote work supported through unclassified network access, and it requires an active or recent Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement responsive web pages and applications for both legacy and modernized environments.
- Partner with product management, designers, and engineering teams to define and deliver UI/UX solutions.
- Handle the full visual design lifecycle, taking concepts through to final hand-off with engineering.
- Conceptualize original ideas to simplify complex workflows and improve the overall user experience.
- Produce clear design communication materials including wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
- Present design work and milestone deliverables to stakeholders for review and approval.
- Conduct user research and incorporate feedback into ongoing, iterative design improvements.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and UI/UX standards.
- Assess user needs and build or tailor software solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Support database design within an application area as needed, working independently or with a development team.
What you bring
- 5+ years of proven UI/UX design and development experience.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Front-End Developer.
- Proficiency with Vue.js (or a comparable front-end framework).
- Experience with Docker, GitHub, and GitLab.
- Strong portfolio showing UI/UX design and development capabilities.
- Solid visual design skills with attention to interaction and usability.
- Ability to present and advocate design decisions to diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methods.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Applicants must hold an active Top Secret clearance with Polygraph.
- Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred or additional qualifications
- Prior experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
- Understanding of user behavior and ability to align business or mission goals with technology solutions.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and responsive design techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and basic database design principles.
- Ability to implement user stories independently with minimal support.
- Experience creating and modifying graphical user interfaces (GUI).
