Staff Product Designer

Trimble is hiring a Staff Product Designer in Austin, TX (hybrid) to shape the product experience across an AI-driven platform for the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Design product solutions across all product areas, from concept through launch, owning key deliverables that support customer success
• Lead first-time experience flows and explore novel approaches for complex workflows
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Product, to integrate strong UX into the core platform
• Communicate design decisions clearly and frequently to help bring concepts to life
• Run user discovery and design validation with stakeholders, translating complex workflows into intuitive experiences
• Drive continuous improvement for the Document Crunch design system and related best practices to support quality and sustainable outcomes
• Apply modern AI to real-world construction workflows and problems by distilling patterns and interaction techniques learned through new experiences
• Mentor designers and contribute to group strategy and overall product vision

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing applications, with a strong focus on B2B products
• Proven ability to lead design initiatives across multiple products or platforms, with a portfolio showing deep expertise in complex UX problem-solving
• Strong problem-solving skills and a “visionary pragmatist” approach that balances UX, style, and pragmatism that works
• Expert proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools, including Figma and AdobeXD (and similar tools)
• Solid knowledge of UX design processes and methodologies, with an adaptive mindset for new approaches
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with engineers, product management, and leadership on strategy and approach
• Ideally, experience and understanding of AI tools and AI-driven user experiences
