Staff Product Designer

Dropbox is hiring a Staff Product Designer (Bridge) for remote work across Zones 2 and 3. This role supports highly visible design initiatives tied to Dropbox’s strategic bets around AI, taking ideas from early vision through delivery. You’ll help set the bar for design quality while shaping team culture and strengthening customer-centered outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Define the problems: Identify high-level opportunities that can improve the user experience and drive business outcomes, bringing clarity, insight, and strategic focus.
• Own strategic, design-led work: Lead complex projects from concept through delivery and guide the team toward innovative, customer-centered results.
• Ensure execution quality: Partner with the broader design organization to deliver work with strong craftsmanship and usability, with an emphasis on simplifying complex workflows for multiple customers.
• Shape design strategy: Contribute to the broader design strategy and influence product strategy across the team, aligned with business goals through close collaboration with Design, Product, and Engineering leadership.

What you bring

• Experience: 10 to 15+ years in a senior individual contributor role, with a track record of leading complex design initiatives that deliver simple and elegant solutions.
• Proven impact: A portfolio demonstrating significant contributions to shipping customer experiences that measurably affected business and customer metrics.
• Cross-functional leadership: Ability to work across engineering, product management, and leadership, influencing design strategy and ensuring successful execution.
• Communication and advocacy: Excellent written and verbal communication, strong storytelling to present and advocate for design decisions, and the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
• Generative AI familiarity: Experience leveraging generative AI for exploration and prototyping.

Preferred background

• Experience leading design efforts in remote or distributed team environments, collaborating across time zones and organizational silos.
• Evidence of leading company-wide initiatives to raise design quality, such as teaching prototyping classes or mentoring other designers.
