Sr UI / UX Designer I

Resideo is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer I to join the Global Experience Design Studio in Golden Valley, Minnesota. This hybrid role focuses on shaping the next generation of user experiences across software, mobile apps, and on-device interfaces, with a compensation range of USD 106,911 to 182,049 per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative experiences across software, mobile apps, and embedded UI.
• Design for multi‑touchpoint experiences spanning software, mobile apps, and on‑device interfaces.
• Produce wireframes and journey diagrams that map the user flow and articulate the experience.
• Deliver design specifications and accompanying documentation to developers.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Apply visual design language and patterns to new projects.
• Partner with product management and developers to craft creative solutions to complex problems.
• Contribute to user research activities including usability tests, qualitative studies, ethnography, and design evaluation.
• Champion user‑centered design principles across products and features.
• Show a clear understanding of how software, embedded UI, and hardware integrate and reflect this interaction in the experience.
• Participate in creative concepting and help shape project vision and roadmap.
• Stay informed about customer experience and interaction design trends.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise on new interactive technologies as they apply to user experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX design, interaction design, software and app design, information architecture, or related roles.
• Proficiency with digital design tools, including Adobe XD.
• Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other presentation technologies such as Flutter.
• A portfolio of relevant work is required for review.
