Senior User Experience UI-UX Designer

AutoZone is seeking a Senior User Experience (UI/UX) Designer to deliver user-centered, high-fidelity design work that’s production-ready. You’ll collaborate closely with product teams, bringing together design research, competitive analysis, and user insights to shape visual and interaction experiences, then support handoff to help the final product match the intended quality.

Work on experiences that matter across a digital retail landscape, using evidence from research and analytics to build functional, usable, and accessible solutions. You’ll also have opportunities to mentor and/or manage other designers when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers/owners, designers, and developers to prioritize the product team’s design needs in a fast-paced Agile environment
• Use user research from qualitative and quantitative sources provided by research and analytics teams
• Build competitive analysis and apply best practices to inform consumer market trends and customer needs for specific projects
• Create user-centric Visual and Interaction Design
• Take ownership of projects and design work, maintaining availability to support understanding before, during, and after handoff
• Help define essential user journeys/experiences and functional requirements with the product team from a design perspective
• Present design work to business stakeholders and advise on experience design best practices
• In some cases, partner with digital agencies to support projects and ensure experience design deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to brand guidelines
• When appropriate, mentor and/or manage other designers, including regular performance assessment and action plans that support professional development and career progression per AutoZone’s career development framework

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in User Experience, User Interface, or Interaction Design
• Experience with eCommerce
• UI/UX experience with a solid understanding of reusable patterns and Design Systems
• Strong portfolio featuring relevant examples of UI and UX successes
• Strong understanding and experience building responsive and mobile designs
• Experience with Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, and Adobe CC (optional experience with Validately, UserZoom, and Adobe Analytics)
• Experience communicating with product owners, business stakeholders, SEO, Analytics, and Front-End development
