Senior Product Designer, Comms Tech

Amazon’s Communications Tech team is looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead end-to-end product design for tools used by communications professionals. This role combines hands-on design execution, customer-facing leadership, and close collaboration with engineering to deliver AI-native workflows.

Role Responsibilities

• Design with a focus on clarity, simplicity, and elegant user experiences.
• Own design strategy and deliver solutions from concept through launch, using AI-assisted prototyping to reduce the distance between an idea and a testable artifact.
• Partner deeply with engineering by working closely with engineers to confirm designs are technically feasible, production-ready, and consistent with the underlying system architecture.
• Continuously incorporate emerging AI capabilities into your design workflow to improve both speed and quality of output.
• Shape product direction by identifying design opportunities, producing functional prototypes to validate assumptions, and helping inform roadmaps with product and business leaders.
• Create working prototypes to support learning and fast iteration.
• Coordinate with product and business teams to balance immediate requirements with long-term, scalable solutions.
• Manage your own work queue, time, and expectations by meeting deadlines and communicating needs and tradeoffs when schedule risk emerges.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of design experience.
• Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Ajax.
• Experience prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar.

Compensation and Location

Location: New York, NY (onsite). Salary: USD 151,600 - 205,000 per year.
