Senior Product Designer

Senior Product Designer role for Key Resource Group, LLC in Lancaster, NY (onsite); this full-time, in-person position supports product development and improvement for a global aerospace and defense manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Systematically review and investigate the full spectrum of materials provided to inform design decisions and align with project specifications.
• Define and document limiting parameters that guide the approach to solving configuration requirements.
• Develop detailed layouts and drawings for the subject model, ensuring clarity and readiness for downstream processes.
• Build and maintain robust 3D CAD models throughout the design lifecycle, updating as changes occur and supporting integration efforts.
• Perform weight and center of gravity calculations to verify design viability and document results for design reviews.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology is required as the minimum education qualification.
• A minimum of eight years of related experience in product design, engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong mathematical proficiency across descriptive geometry, plane geometry, solid geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and related analytical methods.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering materials, and applicable military standards.
• Proficiency with CAD tools is required.
