Senior Experience Designer – UI Design

Truist Bank is seeking a Senior Experience Designer (XD) to shape high-quality experiences for clients, prospects, and teammates. This onsite role in Raleigh, NC combines user-centered design with research, analytics, and collaboration across teams to help drive business objectives and improve product direction.

What you’ll do

• Translate user needs and business requirements into experiences that feel clear, compelling, and effective.
• Lead design work within cross-functional development teams to deliver differentiated product and service designs that create value for clients, teammates, and the business.
• Go beyond established best practices to uncover new solutions and improve outcomes.
• Stay current on trends, theories, methods, and processes to strengthen your craft and approach.
• Influence product direction by directing user research priorities, creating user research plans, using feedback from all channels, and monitoring analytics.
• Apply design standards, industry guidelines, and best practices to support usability and accessibility.
• Design and deliver user journeys, wireframes, visual design concepts, and interactive prototypes across a range of devices and interfaces.
• Use strategic thinking and problem-framing to clarify what matters and define better paths forward.
• Build understanding of broader organizational context and goals to align design work with enterprise priorities.
• Use storytelling and persuasion techniques that build trust with partners and support long-term relationships.

What you bring

• BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence product direction and design through a deep understanding of users.
• Understanding of how human emotions and behavior influence design.
• Strong communication skills, including comfort presenting.
• Ability to excel in a team environment.
• Solid understanding of CSS/HTML and Content Management Systems (CMS).

Preferred qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a related field.
• Experience designing user experiences that create competitive advantage and measuring effectiveness with end users.
• Ability to create design artifacts such as journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity comps that apply brand guidelines, service design blueprints, personas, and prototypes.
• Knowledge of research techniques and selecting the right approach to ensure validity when researching with human participants.
• Strong understanding of W3C guidelines and WCAG.
• Ability to write source code for advanced HTML and CSS for cross-browser development.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience working in Financial Services.
• Experience working on agile projects.
