About Gusto

Gusto focuses on growing the small business economy by handling the hard stuff—payroll, health insurance, 401(k), and HR—so owners can concentrate on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and foster a workplace that reflects the people we serve. All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs), with offer amounts determined by role, level, and location. AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto, and team members are expected to grow fluency in AI tools relevant to their role over time.

About the Opportunity

Editing and motion are the core of how our stories take shape at Gusto. Pacing, sound, motion, and color are not mere finishing touches but the work itself, helping us earn trust and communicate clearly. We’re expanding our in-house creative studio within a fast-moving, late-stage startup to produce cinematic brand films, product stories, and customer-driven narratives, while collaborating closely with the social team to bring stories to audiences where they spend time. This role is a senior individual contributor focused on post-production craft and storytelling, owning motion and edit from rough cut through final delivery and partnering with cross-functional marketing teams to raise the bar and scale the work through better workflows and smarter templates.

Compensation Details

Gusto's compensation philosophy centers on competitive pay and equity ownership. All full-time employees receive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs). The cash compensation range for this role is $146,000–$183,000 per year in Denver and most remote locations, and $177,000–$222,000 per year in San Francisco, Seattle, and New York. Final offer amounts depend on experience and expertise. Equity via RSUs is part of the total rewards package, and AI-enabled work practices are expected as part of the role’s responsibilities.
