Motion Designer

Gupta Media is hiring a Motion Designer in Boston, MA for an onsite, office-first environment. In this role, you will partner with writers and designers to bring static concepts to life through motion and animation, helping deliver bold, compelling stories across multiple visual mediums.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with writers and designers to shape stories that strategically build connection and engagement.
• Take projects from concept through completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams across ideation, creation, and implementation.
• Integrate motion and animation into design work to transform static concepts into animated experiences.
• Present ideas to both internal and external teams.

What you’ll need

• A related 4-year degree and 2+ years of agency experience.
• Strong visual design skills with the ability to weave motion and animation into the work seamlessly.
• A portfolio that includes motion design examples showing an understanding of timing, pacing, and movement.
• Expert-level skill with Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects.
• Bonus: video editing experience using Premiere Pro.
• Ability to carry projects from concept to completion while working collaboratively across teams on ideation, creation, and implementation.
• Strong communication skills, including presenting ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivation and enthusiasm, with an ability to take ownership while also seeking guidance and input to strengthen craft.
• Comfort receiving and incorporating feedback.

Compensation

The base salary range is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. The role is also eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, which is based on the company’s performance.
