Senior Associate, Creative Art Director

Capital One Brand Creative is seeking a Senior Associate, Creative Art Director in Richmond, VA (onsite). This hands-on role leads concepting, design, and execution for integrated experiences across the candidate-to-associate journey, applying omni-channel visual design skills to support recruiting and experiential touchpoints while maintaining brand standards.

Role Overview

In this position, you will develop creative that connects talent marketing, recruiting, and on-the-ground experiences. You will ensure visual consistency across deliverables and use evidence, audience insights, and business goals to guide strategic creative decisions. The role also emphasizes brand stewardship, helping teams advocate for good taste and uphold visual guidelines across all work.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept, design, and execute high-impact creative across digital, site, social, events, brand activations, and campaign toolkits aligned to key business objectives.
• Connect creative strategy to design execution by translating evidence and audience insights into strategic choices that stand out.
• Act as a subject matter expert for brand standards, championing the brand and driving visual consistency across projects.
• Own design projects end-to-end, from initial white-space concepts through final delivery, with appropriate autonomy for high-visibility campaigns.
• Identify opportunities, develop solutions, and propose fresh ideas that elevate creative quality and influence mindsets.
• Stay current with modern design, digital, and consumer trends, using them to inform and enhance your work.
• Manage multiple deadlines at once to deliver polished, high-quality, and error-free output on time.
• Collaborate with immediate team members and line of business partners, integrating feedback and seeking clarity through thoughtful questions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience
• At least 2 years of experience working across multiple creative mediums
• Experience at an agency or a large in-house creative team
• Experience working with a Fortune 100 brand
• 5+ years of experience working across multiple creative mediums
• Creative portfolio that includes a range of in-market work

Location and Compensation

This role is based in Richmond, VA (onsite). The salary range for full-time annual compensation in this location is USD 87,700 - 100,100.

• McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 (Sr. Associate, Art Director)
• Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 (Sr. Associate, Art Director)
• New York, NY: $105,300 - $120,100 (Sr. Associate, Art Director)
