Job Description

Sleeper is hiring a mid-level Product Designer to help shape product experiences across multiple platforms in a compact, design-forward team. This 2-day hybrid role supports collaboration with Product and Engineering to refine design standards, improve design systems, and ship thoughtful work across iOS, Android, Web, and Tablet.

Based in Seattle, WA (hybrid), the position is also available in the San Francisco Bay Area. The contract-to-hire setup offers an initial contract period with the possibility of moving into a full-time role.

Role focus

  • Design product experiences across iOS, Android, Web, and Tablet

  • Own design execution end-to-end, including the ability to innovate and improve existing standards and practices
  • Build scalable solutions using systems thinking, and contribute to the design system
  • Work with a small, high-impact design team pushing boundaries of innovation

What you bring

  • 1 to 3+ years of full-time Product Design experience
  • A strong portfolio, deck, or samples showing design foundations and passion
  • The ability to own the design process from concept to implementation
  • Comfort collaborating with Product, Engineering, and other partners to drive and influence product decisions
  • Attention to detail and ongoing development of your design craft
  • Experience with design systems and related processes

Location and work model

  • 2-day hybrid role
  • San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle

Compensation and job type

  • USD 90,000 - 125,000 per year
  • Minimum experience: 1 year

Benefits

  • Unlimited PTO
  • Regular virtual game-time with the team, plus company-sponsored snacks
  • Company-sponsored fantasy leagues with real prizes

  • Benefits + equity

Team approach

The design and research team works hard and plays hard. You may see “research” extend beyond design rooms, including trying new sports or computer games together. The team is also described as meticulous about craft while making time for fun, and they take annual trips to do design-workshop together.

Extra points

  • A degree in HCI, web/media design, human-centered, UI/UX design, or a related field
