This onsite contract Product Designer role sits with Publicis Groupe (Saatchi) in El Segundo, CA. Earn an annual salary between USD 96,992 and 105,000 and collaborate with product managers, strategists, and developers to deliver end-to-end experiences for Toyota digital products. You will help shape brand-aligned UX, UI, and visual design across platforms while contributing to a cohesive design system and pattern libraries. The role emphasizes hands-on design execution, strategic thinking, and cross-functional partnership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver creative solutions by translating user needs into concepts and elegant interface designs in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Think strategically to link strategic foundations, business goals, and user needs through design solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams through internal discussions and stakeholder interviews to understand and pursue business goals.
  • Craft meaningful experiences by working with platform creatives, external consultants, and partners to meet audience and business objectives.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape to identify patterns and trends that inform design directions.
  • Execute with precision by producing wireframes, sitemaps, user flows, prototypes, decks, use cases, journeys, and personas across fidelity levels, with strong file organization.
  • Maintain consistency by contributing to the UX pattern library and staying aligned with component design best practices.
  • Develop innovative experiences by translating client problems into innovative, pixel-perfect designs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and design tech to keep the brand ahead of the curve.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure a holistic approach to design that supports business goals and user needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, or similar role.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects within a large organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategy skills to deliver best-in-class design solutions.
  • Ability to synthesize findings and present design rationale clearly.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication with the ability to tell a cohesive narrative.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet short and long-term deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in an agile or iterative, collaborative environment with daily sharing of work.
  • Solid understanding of industry trends and creative tools.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Principle, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.

UX Deliverables

  • Smooth handoff with wireframes, annotations, landscape analyses, test plans, and other deliverables that align with component standards and are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to define problems, goals, and solutions.
  • Problem solving that balances user needs with business priorities and delivers appropriate fidelity solutions.
  • Process engagement by breaking solutions into epics and user stories for agile sprints; estimate hours and manage time within sprints; write and review user stories.
  • Creative brainstorming through sketching, breakout wireframes, landscape analyses, audits, test plans, and annotations.
  • Support the design system by contributing reusable components and building blocks in the shared library.

VD Deliverables

  • Smooth handoff with dev-ready files, annotations, prototypes, and presentations in line with component and style guide standards delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to define problems, goals, and solutions.
  • Problem solving that aligns user needs with client goals at the appropriate fidelity.
  • Process engagement by breaking solutions into epics and user stories for agile sprints; estimate hours and manage time; write, edit, and review user stories.
  • Creative brainstorming through sketching, breakout wireframes, landscape analyses, audits, test plans, and annotations.
  • Develop the design system by supporting reusable components in the shared digital library.
