Product Designer

In this Product Designer role at Verkada, you will shape high-quality web and mobile experiences by creating interface designs, interaction models, and prototypes within a fast-paced, collaborative workflow. You will partner with product managers, designers, and engineers from early product vision through pixel-level execution prior to release.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with designers, engineers, and product managers in an agile environment that supports rapid ideation and prototyping.
• Contribute to building and maintaining a collaborative team culture.
• Lead both structured and exploratory brainstorming sessions with engineering, product, and other designers.
• Develop product strategies that align with customer needs and the company’s vision.
• Create clear, concise, and intuitive UX/UI across the design process, from low-fidelity wireframes to pixel-perfect final designs.
• Serve as a project lead and co-own outcomes with product and engineering leads.
• Manage multiple projects and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Own and maintain project scope and schedule.
• Initiate and participate in user research when required for key initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product design or mobile product design.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual and interaction design capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, art, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent.
• Ability to tackle complex problems through simple and elegant solutions.
• Proven experience in creative problem-solving and partnering with product, engineering, and designers.
• Experience creating and integrating animated visuals and interactive design.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, After Effects, and Illustrator).

Compensation and Location

Location: San Mateo, CA (onsite)

Salary: USD 120,000 - 160,000 per year
