NX Product Designer

Waltonen Engineering is looking for an NX Product Designer to support the creation of complex unit and mechanism designs while keeping customer requirements in focus. This onsite role in Warren, MI brings together hands-on design work, collaboration with drafting teammates, and the chance to deliver detailed drawings and specifications that move projects forward.

What you’ll do

• Prepare design layouts for complex units and mechanisms
• Perform design computations as required
• Create general specifications, including bills of materials
• Collaborate with layout drafters and detailers to help complete designs
• Develop creative drawings based on design objectives established by others
• Use manual and computer skills to complete design drawings
• Support outcomes by meeting all customer requirements

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years of experience in Product Design
• Experience modeling from assembly drawings/packages
• Sheet Metal and/or structural design experience
• Solid modeling and assembly design experience
• Analytical ability to recognize and solve design and mechanical problems
• Oral and written communication skills

Preferred qualifications

• Associates in Vehicle Design or Product Development
• Experience in Powertrain, Chassis, or Body Design
• Electrical Design experience in Routing & Packaging

Minimum experience: 2 years.
