Multimedia Graphic Design Specialist
Job Description
Remote Multimedia Graphic Design Specialist role supporting strategic communications, marketing visuals, and web content for the NASA eMITS contract.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver visual assets including infographics, digital flyers, reports, and presentations
- Support content layout and design for intranet and extranet pages
- Create and refine engaging graphics, images, and icons for website and social media profiles
- Continuously update and improve internal and external site designs using user feedback and evolving design trends (OneNASA and NASA.gov)
- Improve the digital experience for OCIO services through user experience support and microsite and/or SharePoint development
- Analyze Organizational Change Management Strategy and determine graphical communication approach
- Ensure all content and visuals are 508 compliant and aligned with NASA and OCIO branding
- Collaborate with customers and team members to conceptualize and execute design ideas
- Create original artwork for digital image processing
- Perform media edits based on user feedback
- Manage, edit, and proof content across multiple multimedia platforms
- Establish communication plans and methods using SharePoint, videos, newsletters, and official notices for general audiences
- Provide content management support including organizing, categorizing, and managing content
- Use SharePoint and Teams to store materials and manage communication paths
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in multimedia design, software, and social media platforms
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to generate innovative graphics for delivery across an array of platforms
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.)
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience building and maintaining SharePoint sites
- Use of tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and other industry-standard tools
- Ability to adapt content for different platforms and media formats
- Capacity to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: BA/BS in Communications, Mass Communications, Electronic Media, Design, Graphic Design, or related field
- Experience: 8 years
Compensation
- USD 85,000 - 98,000 per year
